Dr. Coombs grew up in northern Utah and discovered his passion for orthodontics while working in his father’s practice from the age of 13. He earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific, graduating in the top 5% of his class, and was inducted into both the TKO Dental Honor Society and the OKU National Dental Honor Fraternity. He completed his orthodontic residency and earned a master’s degree in oral biology at Temple University, where his research focused on the Invisalign system.
Before moving to Las Cruces, Dr. Coombs owned a successful orthodontic practice in Anchorage, Alaska. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and other professional dental organizations.
Dr. Coombs and his wife, Cathie, have six children and have embraced life in Las Cruces, actively participating in church, youth programs, and community events.
